I have been writing song lyrics for as long as I can remember. As a young child, I wrote lyrics to music I heard in my head. As a teenager, writing poetry and song lyrics became a way for me to deal with my depression. Getting the emotions out on paper helped release them far better than anything else I tried.
After learning how to play guitar, I began writing songs for my band to perform. Unfortunately, when I moved to Chicago about seven years ago, I lost all the lyrics that I had written up until that point, including the songs I wrote for my band. I have written a few pieces since then, but I am far less prolific than I was growing up. On these pages, you can read some of my favorites from the past few years.
